Our 2 Season Resort
❄️ Winter in Morzine
Whatever pace you prefer on your winter holiday — from total relaxation to full-on adventure — you’ll find a huge range of activities across the Morzine area. There’s truly something for everyone, of every age and ability.
⛷ Skiing & Snowboarding
The main attraction in winter is, of course, skiing and snowboarding. The Portes du Soleil is one of the largest linked ski areas in the world, offering 650 km of pistes across 13 resorts in France and Switzerland. With 286 runs, 30 snowparks, and around 200 ski lifts, there’s terrain for every level.
For something different, try cross-country skiing on 216 km of peaceful trails, or enjoy night skiing on the Pleney piste every Thursday (weather permitting).
🏔 Ski Touring & Snowshoeing
Morzine is also popular for ski touring, whether you prefer ascending groomed pistes or exploring backcountry routes.
For a gentler pace, snowshoeing (raquette à neige) or winter walking is a fantastic way to discover the mountains. With lift access to higher ground and a network of groomed trails, it’s easy to explore the area on foot — even in snowy conditions.
⛸ Ice Sports & Activities
Enjoy ice skating on one of the outdoor rinks dotted around the resorts, or visit the indoor rink at the Palais des Sports for public skating sessions. It’s also home to Morzine’s local ice hockey team, whose matches are always lively and fun to watch.
🐾 Mountain Adventures
For a memorable experience, try a horse-drawn sleigh ride or take charge of your own team on a husky-dog sled ride through the forest.
Thrill-seekers can test their limits with ice climbing on frozen waterfalls, or even ice diving beneath the frozen surface of Lac Montriond — a truly unique alpine adventure.
🏊 Relaxation & Wellness
At Parc des Dérêches, you’ll find two heated indoor pools, a teaching pool, and a paddling area for children, plus a spa zone with saunas and Turkish baths. Perfect for easing tired muscles after a day on the slopes.
🪂 High-Flying Experiences
If you’re ready to take to the skies, paragliding (parapente) in Morzine or Avoriaz is unforgettable. For a more relaxed way to admire the landscape, helicopter tours offer breathtaking aerial views of the Alps.
🌿 Summer in Morzine
When the snow melts, Morzine transforms into a summer playground with endless outdoor adventures and family-friendly activities.
💦 Water & Adventure Sports
The town’s outdoor swimming complex includes a heated Olympic pool, teaching pool, paddling pool with water games, and an 80m waterslide. For something wilder, try kayaking, white-water rafting, canyoning, or hydrospeeding on nearby rivers.
You can also swim, paddleboard, or picnic beside the region’s beautiful alpine lakes.
⛳ Sports & Recreation
Golf: an 18-hole course in nearby Les Gets
Tennis: 7 hard courts and 2 clay courts at Parc des Dérêches
Horse riding: explore spectacular terrain on guided treks
